Process Scale Up

Fluidization Systems

Through many design/build and optimization projects for fluidized systems AMS has developed proprietary modeling capabilities from direct feedback of system performance.  High temperature, fouling, unique particles, no matter the challenge, we can build an FBR for you.

Extreme Process Conditions

A lot of our work involves extreme process conditions; >1,000℃, corrosive/erosive environments, high pressures, achievement and maintenance of ultra high purity, etc.  We can provide a solution when your needs are unique. 

Distillation and Separations

Very experienced with design of distillation and other separation systems including stripping, adsorption, filtration, ion exchange, and media systems.  Some of our commercialized systems are achieving sub ppb impurities in the final product stream.

High Alloy and Specialty Fabrication

CS, SS, Super Austenitics, Ni Superalloys, Refractory metals, Carbon Materials, Advanced Ceramics and Cermets, Quartz, Glasses, etc. We’re familiar with all of it.  If your process involves extreme process conditions that require exotic fabrication materials and methods we can help. 

Ultra-High Purity Systems

Significant experience in achieving ppt level purity in gas, liquid, and solid products.  In addition to the sophisticated engineering and process control needed to achieve such purity, we are able to provide the operational knowledge and best management practices to ensure that product meets the customer's demand.

Custom Process Equipment

We’ve built custom process equipment for more than a dozen projects on three continents and delivered equipment to countries across the globe.  Operating internationally lets us provide the shortest lead time for process equipment and modules while reducing overall cost, logistics and conforming to the local regulations of our customers.

Automation and Process Controls

Materials Characterization

We offer full in-house materials characterization using GC, ICP-MS, SEM, XRD, TGA and more to support R&D and process improvement. From elemental analysis to structural and surface evaluation, our lab delivers the data needed to drive technical decisions.
